Caroline earned her B.A. in History and Gender and Women’s Studies from Dickinson College in 2009. At the University of Iowa, she is writing a dissertation on same-sex desiring individuals’ uses of history to construct transnational and transhistorical sexual subjectivities in late nineteenth and early twentieth-century U.S., England, and Germany. This research is supported by the Phil Zwickler Charitable and Memorial Foundation, The Kinsey Institute, and the University of Iowa.

In addition to her research, Caroline serves as an assistant editor for Notches: (Re)marks on the History of Sexuality.
